My name is Anna King. I qualified in Graphic Design & Advertising at Blackpool & The Fylde College, Lancashire, and Cumbria College of Art & Design, Carlisle.
The concept of Just Married Watercolours came about whilst walking with my husband on the South West Coast Path (en route to Port Isaac!) one hot summer's day in 2017. I wanted to expand my skills as an artist and thought about our wedding in 2010 when I painted a series of small watercolours of our favourite places for our wedding tables. They were incredibly popular. Perhaps I could paint watercolours for other people's weddings too...
After selling my paintings in a local art gallery from 2015 with reasonable success, I decided to make painting more than a hobby, so I bit the bullet, and Just Married Watercolours was born!
Most of my paintings remain in the UK, but the more adventurous ones are making their way around the world from Plymouth across the pond to America; over to Cologne in Germany; and all the way over to New Zealand and Australia. Help them on their adventures and let's see where else they can end up!
Add some sophistication to your guests' tables with bespoke original watercolours of your favourite and special locations, beautifully presented with an oak-effect frame - perfect for any colour theme.
Or, why not give them as gifts to your guests for your Best Man and Bridesmaids?
Think of your favourite and special locations, and have them recreated in watercolour for your special day... Perhaps add a paragraph about the location and have it attached to the back of the frame.
Where do you both love being? What's your favourite view? Where was the proposal? Where's your honeymoon?
All these questions will help you choose your paintings' subjects. Simply let me know the locations or viewpoints, supplying photos if you have them, and I will do the rest.
If your guests love your paintings, they can have their own originals too - either another version of your location(s), or their own favourite places for their memories. All they need to do is take one of the business cards supplied with your paintings and get in touch through this website after your wedding.
